Sr. Janette Mostert obtained her degree in general, community, psychiatric nursing and midwifery from Stellenbosch University in 2007. She completed her community service year at Karl Bremer Hospital in 2008 and stayed on for a further 2 years in the hospital’s medical casualty department.
In 2011, sr. Janette studied further and obtained her honours degree in critical care nursing, also through Stellenbosch University. She has worked in numerous hospitals in intensive care units, both public and private.
Sr. Janette joined a retail pharmacy group in 2012 and worked in a primary health care clinic for just over 2 years. It was here that she realised how passionate she was about families and their health.
Sr Janette obtained her certificate in Sexual & Reproductive Health during 2014 and subsequently became a mentor for reproductive health students. During 2015, Sr Janette completed her dispensing course through University of Medunsa.
Currently, she is enrolled at WITS completing certification in specialised breastfeeding studies in order to become a South African Certified Lactation Consultant.
